GREEN MANDALA

12 minute film, 2002

Green Mandala is striking. The story is touching; it illustrates that in 12 minutes of filmtime one can indeed tell an entire tale. The piece looks beautiful.”

In Green Mandala, Denny directs a delicately wrought and intimate film about a terminally ill mother and her young daughter looking for ways to navigate their fears of loss and death together. 7 year old Sarah summons the magical powers of the garden they both love in a desperate effort to save her. Within the charmed circle of the garden, powerful forces are at work, providing a place in which grace of the most fragile and personal kind can arrive.
